Opal Homan
Opal Irene (Watson) Homan, age 95, of Springboro, passed away September 11, 2020.
She was born December 6, 1924 in Boyne City, Michigan to the late Robert and Lela Watson. On August 2, 1947 she married Eugene Homan who preceded her in death on September 27, 1997. Opal was a previous resident of Irvine, Kentucky, Dayton, Ohio, Celina, Ohio and Kettering, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, Opal was also preceded in death by her son, William Homan on December 26, 2018, 2 grandchildren, Robert Homan and Lindsay Homan, as well as her 6 siblings, Norma Peavler, Thelma Watson, Geneva Watson, Harold Watson, Mary Moberly and Leona Valentine.
Opal is survived by her grandchildren, Joseph (Janelle) Homan of Springboro, Christopher (Clarissa) Homan of Dayton; and her great-grandchildren, Mikayla Kinser and Zoey Homan.
Throughout her life, Opal loved to stay active and enjoyed being involved in various careers and committees over the years. Opal will forever be remembered as an amazing woman with a generous heart and spirit.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike Dayton, Ohio 45459. Opal will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
