Lewis Wibbeler
Lewis H. Wibbeler, 82, of New Knoxville, died suddenly on December 3, 2020, at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1938, in Auglaize County, Ohio, the son of Dorothy and Henry L. Wibbeler.
He is survived by his children: Kevin (Tina) Wibbeler of Zanesville, Ohio; Lisa (Bob) Jaynes of New Knoxville. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Maggie; Emily; Thomas; Anna and Kayla, and by a great-granddaughter, Lucy. He is survived by his siblings: Carol Knatz of Saint Marys; Ned (Barb) Wibbeler of Wapakoneta; Eileen Schamp of Saint Marys; Jan Suchland of Saint Marys; Denny Wibbeler of Wapakoneta; Gary (Chris) Wibbeler of Saint Marys; Chris (Dave) Chivington of Saint Marys; Greg Wibbeler of New Bremen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lewis was a graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He retired from Plasti-Pak Corporation in Jackson Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Lewis was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moulton, where he had been a choir member for numerous years. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and hunting, and he was a member of American Legion Post 444, New Knoxville.
Due to COVID-19, private, family only funeral rites will be held Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Melodi Hagens, officiant. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Memorial gifts may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Moulton.
