Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Authorities prep for arrival of 1st COVID vaccines

CELINA - Mercer County Health District and Mercer County Community Hospital officials are preparing for the arrival of the first COVID-19 vaccines.
Health district administrator Jason Menchhofer at the board's Wednesday meeting said he is anticipating 200 doses of the Moderna vaccine in the first shipment. The shipment could arrive next week if the Food and Drug Administration approves emergency use authorization. [More]

ST. MARYS - Flashing lights and wailing sirens enveloped Joint Township District Memorial Hospital's parking lot on a snowy Wednesday evening in a rousing show of solidarity with health care officials fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
