Justin Nixon

Minster

6-5 Senior Forward/Post

15.4 PPG, 9.6 Rebounds, 2.9 Assists

Nixon shined bright in a shining season for the Wildcats as they won their first outright MAC title and just the second in school history.

Nixon faced tough defense and still came away in nearly averaging a double-double this season. Falk shot 52% from the floor and proved to be an excellent passer when teams collapsed on him in the paint, averaging nearly three assists per game. His defense also shined, recording 49 blocked shots (2.2 per game), 32 steals and took a charge.

The Wildcats cruised to big wins, losing in the regular season to eventual Division IV state champion Botkins, Anna, Ottoville and Perry. In the MAC, though, the Wildcats were dominating, winning six of their nine league games by double digits and having a margin of victory average of 14.3 points per game. The closest league game was three points against Fort Recovery.

Minster finished the regular season with eight straight wins and then won its tournament opener against Ridgemont before taking a hard-luck buzzer-beater loss to New Bremen, a team the Wildcats defeated by 15 during the regular season.

Nixon was named the MAC Player of the Year and was a first team All-Northwest District honoree.
