Judy Roettger
Judy K. Roettger of Port Clinton, OH, formerly of Kettlersville, died peacefully while being cared for by her family on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her residence in Port Clinton.
She was born on July 10, 1949 in Kenton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard W. and L. Jane (Rogers) Jones. On June 14, 1969, she married Dennis M. Roettger in Mt. Victory, Ohio, and he survives in Port Clinton.
Also surviving are her daughters Renee (Dan Street) Roettger of Kettlersville and Rochelle (Adam) Langdon of Wellington, OH; her grandchildren Christina Street of Port Clinton, Joshua Street of Kettlersville, and Tiffany Street of Lima; her great-grandchildren Chance and Wyatt Street of Port Clinton; her sister Janet Jones of Kenton and her brother Paul (Patty) Jones of Fishers, IN.
Judy was a 1967 graduate of Ridgemont High School and went on to graduate from Columbus Business University in 1969. She had been a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton, where she served as a decorating consultant for the church. She had retired from the family business, Roettger Hardwood, after 30 years as the office manager, and after her retirement, became a dedicated homemaker and grandmother.
She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them and her entire family. She had been Past Commander and member of the Lima Squadron of the U.S. Power Squadron for over 30 years, had belonged to the Wapakoneta Women's Club, and had also served as a 4-H advisor for over 20 years. She enjoyed designing floral arrangements, making jewelry and selling it at various craft shows, taking care of her lily gardens, and loved to spend time on their boat on Lake Erie.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 beginning at 12:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Deacon Maury Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the United States Power Squadron Last Horizon service being held at 5:00 P.M. An addition time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.
There will also be a memorial mass held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Stein Hospice (1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870) or to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (414 Madison St, Port Clinton, OH 43452).
