At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta. This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building. John Wenning
John M. Wenning, age 61, of Coldwater, died on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus. He was born July 20, 1959 in Celina to James Wenning of Coldwater & the late Juanita (Linn) Wenning.
He is survived by children, Jamie & Garrett Myers of Miamisburg and Jason Wenning of Coldwater; siblings, Janet & Mark South of Bellbrook, Joe & Connie Wenning of Coldwater, Jeff & Nancy Wenning of Coldwater, Judy Fortener of Coldwater, and Jane & Dave Peterson of Mason. John was a self-employed contractor who enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and following the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday June 2, 2021 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Burial will follow at the St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday June 1, 2021 and after 9:30 Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
