Steven Heuing
Steven "Baby" W. Heuing age 60 of Russia, Ohio died Friday, July 16, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born May 26, 1961 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Melvin 'Bud" & Kathleen (Monnin) Heuing. He is survived by his brothers & sisters: Susan & Roger Bertke, Fort Loramie, Dave & Julie Heuing, Russia, Gery & Carrie Heuing, Russia, Teresa & Rick Barhorst, Ft. Loramie, Jim & Heidi Heuing, Russia, nieces & nephews: Lisa Zimmerman, Jeff Bertke, Allen Bertke, Brad Bertke, Brandon Heuing, Sara McMullen, Denise Barhorst, Brad Alfrey, Lucas Heuing, John Heuing, Rachel Sherman, Mitchell Heuing, Kelly Barhorst, Beth Schlater, Kristin Barhorst, Katie Heuing & Tori Heuing and numerous great nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Tony Bertke   He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. He worked at Tooling Technologies for 34 years. He was a member of Newport Sportsman Club. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, pool leagues & trap shooting and gambling with family and friends. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also part owner of the Brothers Tent and Mulch business along with Store-n-locks. Steve loved spending time with his family and his many, many friends of all ages. He never met a stranger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia with Rev. Martin Fox Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Remy Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia from 3 to 8 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 and from 9 to 10 AM on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Russia Fire Department and Hospice of Dayton.
