* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 810 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Troy, Piqua, Greenville, Celina, Tipp City, St. Marys, West Milton, Coldwater, New Bremen, Minster, Versailles, Covington, St. Henry, Arcanum, Newport, Bradford, Union City, Fort Loramie, Fort Recovery and Pleasant Hill.

At 940 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Fort Shawnee, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Nickel size hail, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Lightning can cause serious injury or death. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Kenton, Fort Shawnee, Cridersville, Alger, Waynesfield, Belle Center, Chippewa Park, Northwood, Roundhead, Rushsylvania, Mcguffey, Uniopolis, Silver Creek, Jumbo, Huntersville, Walton, New Hampshire, Big Springs, and State Route 195 at State Route 235.

Betty Engle
Betty Engle, 83, of Celina, died 11:22 A.M. Friday, August 13, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 17, 1937, in Saint Marys, the daughter of George and Bonnie (Vanover) Boltz. She married Benjamin Engle on September 20, 1969; he preceded her in death on May 3, 2021.
She is survived by her children: Craig (Brenda) McDermitt of Saint Marys; Mike (Kathie) McDermitt of New Bremen; John (Sally) McDermitt of Celina; Linda Sue (Dave) Williams o f Dayton; Curtis Engle of Dayton; Todd (Angie) Engle of Dayton. She is survived by 26 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her step-brothers: Boyd Browder, Norman Browder, Albert Browder and Lester Browder.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Deanna Jo Slone; two sons: Richard Engle and Frankie Engle; by a brother, Bill Boltz; two step-brothers: Paul Browder and Chester "Sonny" Browder.
Betty was a 1955 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She retired after 23 years of service at Huffy Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Beaver Chapel Congregational Church in Celina and the Order of Eastern Star #111. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, watching Jeopardy and reading.
Funeral rites will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 200, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Friends may call from 12-2 and 4-6 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to St. Jude Childrens' Hospital.
