Roughriders squander 2-1 lead in Shawnee

St. Marys led two sets to one before Shawnee rallied to send the Roughriders to a 25-20, 18-25, 25-20, 17-25, 12-15 loss in a Western Buckeye League volleyball match in Shawnee.
Halle Huston led St. Marys with 22 kills while Addie Lauth added five blocks and three aces. Lily Rammel finished with 46 assists and a pair of aces.
St. Henry 3, Fort Recovery 1
The Redskins bounced back from an opening loss for a 7-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-23 victory.
Chloe Gels led St. Henry with 14 kills while Grace Lange chapped in 15 digs. Lydia Werling finished with 31 assists and five aces.
Whitley Rammel recorded a match-high 17 kills for the Indians and added nine blocks. Marissa Gaerke finished with 12 kills, nine digs and three blocks.
Marion Local 3, Minster 1
The Wildcats scratched out a win in the third set, but the Flyers earned a win in the fourth to snap a seven-match losing streak with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-27, 25-19 victory in a Midwest Athletic Conference match at Wildcat Gymnasium.
Lindsey Koenig and Chloe Ronnebaum led Marion with 12 kills apiece while Natalie Evers recorded 20 assists and 10 digs. Nora Eckstein finished with five of the Flyers' 13 aces.
Ella Mescher finished with a match-high 13 kills for Minster while Lily Barhorst added 24 digs and six blocks. Jayden Clune recorded 12 assists and 13 digs.
Coldwater 3, Versailles 1
The Cavaliers dropped the opening set 22-25 before coming back to take the next three sets 25-19, 25-12, 25-19 to improve to 3-2 in MAC play in Versailles.
Madison Wendel led Coldwater with 11 kills and added 10 digs. Jenna Leugers tallied 10 kills and served up two aces. Spencer Etzler and Annelise Harlamert each had three aces with Harlamert also recording 33 assists.
Coldwater hosts Celina on Tuesday.

BOYS SOCCER
Celina 1, Bath 0
Zach Greber scored the lone goal of the match off a Max Baumstark assist to give the Bulldogs the win over the Wildcats in Bath Township.
Logan Smith picked up the shutout in goal for Celina.
Shawnee 3, St. Marys 0
The Roughriders were outshot 11-4 on the way to a WBL loss at Roughrider Field.
Shawnee scored less than three minutes into the game, then added on three minutes later to take a 2-0 lead in the first half. The final blow came with 16:26 remaining.
Cayden Ballweg recorded eight saves for St. Marys.

GIRLS SOCCER
Anna 10, Coldwater 0
Tanner Spangler scored seven goals as the Rockets shut out the Cavaliers in Western Ohio Soccer League play in Shelby County.
Coldwater travels to Allen East on Tuesday.

GIRLS GOLF
St. Henry 210, Anna 235
Mallory Havenar earned medalist honors with a 45 for the Rockets, but the Redskins turned in four scores under 55 to earn a win at the Mercer County Elks.
Courtney Clune led the way with a 50, followed by Brianna Post at 52. Dana Rindler and Audrey Wendel each carded a 54.

Fort Recovery 207
Jalyn Bruns was medalist with a 38, but it wasn't enough for the Indians in a MAC loss at Portland Country Club.
Macy Brunswick added a 55, followed by Paige Bihn with a 56 and Shelby Acheson with a 58.

The Indians took a non-conference loss at Portland Country Club.
Xavier Phlipot and Jude Counts shared medalist honors with matching 42s for the Raiders, with Fort Recovery's Isaac LeFevre three strokes behind. Zander Kunkler and Eli Lennertz each came in at 50 for the Indians, while Alex Dues shot a 54.
