Connie Pohlmann
Connie L. Pohlmann, age 79, of Maria Stein, Ohio, died on Tuesday October 19, 2021, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She was born May 7, 1942, in Celina to the late Sylvester & Mary (Homan) Borgert. On June 12, 1965, she married Walter O. Pohlmann, and he preceded her in death October 24, 2020.
Connie is survived by children, Diane (Robert) Bilo of Mason, Keith (Renee) Pohlmann of Maria Stein and Jeff (Lisa) Pohlmann of Powell; grandchildren, Mitchell, Matthew, Michael Bilo, Derek, Dayne, Dalton, Dylan Pohlmann and Andrew, Brady, Tate Pohlmann; siblings and in-laws: Marilyn (Tom) McClurg of Tipp City, Darlene Ruzicka of Beavercreek, Irene Turckes of Kettering, and Dorothy Pohlmann of Maria Stein.
She is preceded in death by a granddaughter Sarah; a brother, Ron Borgert, and in-laws, Jerome Ruzicka, Leo (Lois) Pohlmann, and Ray Turckes.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and a graduate of Coldwater High School class of 1960. She formerly worked at the New Idea Company in Coldwater, and at Celina Insurance Group. She was a longtime CCD teacher at St. Johns, and worked in the cafeteria at Marion Local Schools. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids activities. Connie and Walt enjoyed ballroom dancing and loved to watch sports, and especially the Marion Local Flyers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 22, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Church with livestream at http://www.marioncatholiccommunity.org/live-stream.html. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Maria Stein.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 on Thursday October 21, and from 9-10am on Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
