Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Lavern Bruns
Lavern R. "Shots" Bruns, age 76, of St. Henry, died on Thursday October 21, 2021, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born December 21, 1944, in St. Sebastian to the late Elmer & Luella (Meier) Bruns. On May 21, 1971, he married Wilma (Rindler) Bruns, and she survives in St. Henry.
Lavern is also survived by children, Shawn Bruns of Ferndale, MI, Carla & Kenneth Ledyard of Perrysburg, and Christina Bruns and Gary Feltz of Saline, MI, and four grandchildren, Jase Ledyard, Shaye Ledyard, Conner Feltz, and Jackson Feltz. Also surviving Lavern are his siblings and in-laws: Willard & Bertie Bruns, Gene & Jeanie Bruns, Evie Bensman, Dennis & Elaine Bruns, Mary & Paul Gagel, John & Irene Bruns, Lois & Nick Kremer, Mark & Cindy Bruns, Kenneth & Sharon Rindler, Judy Gaier, Marlene Rainey, Diane & Don Ebbing, Nancy Rindler & Ron Pfaff, Dave & Lucy Rindler, Larry & Mary Rindler, Dan & Nancy Rindler, Tom & Deb Rindler, John & Janet Rindler, Greg & Angie Rindler, Denise Rindler & Jeff Heinfeldt, and Ken Muhlenkamp.
  In addition to his parents, Lavern is preceded in death by a brother, Omer & Jeanette Bruns, and in-laws, Don Bensman, Carol Muhlenkamp, Mark Rindler, and Harold Rainey.
  Lavern was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, and the Knights of St. John in Maria Stein. He was a computer technician for Reynolds which later became Work Flow One in Coldwater. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force. Lavern was a member of the Burger Beer Gang, and enjoyed bowling, biking, and playing cards. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially teaching them to ride a bike and taking them fishing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at St. Henry Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery. Services are conducted by the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice, or the Alzheimer's Association.
