* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize and Mercer.
* WHEN...Until 415 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 110 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Coldwater, New Bremen, Minster, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, New Knoxville, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Carthagena and Maria Stein.

* Flash Flood Warning for... West Central Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Northeastern Shelby County in west central Ohio...
* Until 400 PM EDT.
* At 108 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Velma Holdheide
Velma Hilda (Unrast) Holdheide, age 80, of Houston, passed away peacefully of natural causes early Thursday morning, November 4, 2021, at The Landings in Sidney, Ohio.
She was born June 16, 1941, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Aloys & Marie (Otte) Unrast. On November 11, 1961, at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, Velma married Jerome Holdheide who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Mark & Connie Holdheide of Houston and Linda & Dave Westgerdes of Piqua; four grandchildren: Ashley & Derek Meyer, Amanda & Reggie Rose, Aliya Holdheide & fiancé, Vince Barhorst and Alyssa & Eric Swartz along with five great-grandchildren: Emmett, Everett and Brynn Meyer and Jace and Mack Rose; four siblings: Leroy & Susie Unrast of Wilcox, AZ, Margaret Wagner of Celina, Bertha & Joe Rosenbeck of New Bremen and Henry & Anita Unrast of New Weston as well as sisters & brothers-in-law: Joan Holdheide of Fort Loramie, Wilfred Albers of Celina, Werner & Joann Holdheide of St. Henry, Paul & Rosalee Holdheide of Maria Stein and Leonard & Marilyn Holdheide of Maria Stein along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil, Marvin and Dennis Unrast as well as brothers & sisters-in-law: Robert Wagner, Ralph and Alvin Holdheide and Wilma Albers.
Velma was a 1959 graduate of Marion Local High School. She went on to continue studies at the Springfield Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 1998, from Dettmer Hospital/Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy where she was employed as an LPN for 36 years. After retiring Velma had been a home-health care giver for various agencies. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the lady's sodality. Velma was also an active volunteer with the Shelby Co. Right to Life and the NFL Region of St. Vincent DePaul. In her leisure, she enjoyed gardening, genealogy and interacting with her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Tuesday November 9, 2021, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Newport with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Monday 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to NFL Region St. Vincent DePaul, Shelby Co. Right to Life or Wilson Health Hospice.
