* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected, especially early Wednesday morning.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Donald Ahrens
Donald P. Ahrens, age 60, of Celina (formerly of Coldwater), died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born December 19, 1961 in Coldwater to the late Ervin E. & Verlina (Knapke) Ahrens. On January 8, 1983 he married Alice (Franzer) and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Travis (Lindsey) Ahrens, Dusty (Ashley) Ahrens and Kyle (Amanda) Ahrens all of Coldwater; grandchildren, Ian, Zane, Bennett, Ervin (EJ) & Ellie; siblings and in-laws, Rick (Roxann) Ahrens of St. Sebastian, Ken (Sue) Ahrens of Coldwater, Kathy Hartke of St. Henry, mother-in-law, Annella Franzer of Coldwater, Mike (Pat) Franzer of Celina, Marlene (Joe) Overman of Coldwater, Shirley (Roger) Albers of Osgood, Mary Lou (Roger) Homan of Philothea, Bill (Sandy) Franzer of Carthagena, Sharon Franzer of Coldwater, Lois (Ted) Lyons of Versailles and Amy (Jerry) Schlarman of New Weston.
He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bernard Franzer and a brother-in-law Bill Hartke.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater where he was an usher. Don graduated from Marion Local High School in 1980. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being on the water, whether it be on Grand Lake or a cruise ship. He loved being a bus driver for the Coldwater Cavaliers for 20 years and followed the Cavaliers, the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Don worked at Crown for 35 years and served 10 years on Coldwater village council. He was a courageous cancer warrior of an 8.5 year battle.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, January 21, 2022 at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 20th, and 9:00 to 10:00 am Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Kirsten Schlarman Foundation or the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
