Betty May
Betty Jean (Moorman) May, 92, was called to the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Miller Place in Celina.
  Betty was born August 22, 1929 in Mercer County, Ohio to Fred H. & Edna E. (Henke) Moorman. Both parents preceded her in death.
On August 21, 1948 she married Gerald "Jerry" May. He died December 17, 1971.
On September 20, 1980 she married Ralph "Zeke" Anderson and he died January 9, 2011.
She is survived by a son, Tom (Deborah Anderson) May of Celina, two daughters, Carl (Linda) Youmans of St. Marys and Betsy "Jane" (Dan) Muter of El Cajon, California, step-children, Cheryl Hare of Winter Haven, Florida, Doug (Susan) Anderson of Cleburne, Texas, Scott (Jo) Anderson and Robin (Kaci) Anderson of Celina, and Neal
Anderson of Botkins and several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mike Weiler, Jr. She was also preceded in death by siblings Margaret Wurster, Frieda Barefoot, Alma Baker, Ruth Crease, Bertha "Bertie" Moorman, and Paul, Herman, Luther, Carl, Oscar, Bob and Don Moorman. Betty was the youngest of 13 children.
She was a graduate of Celina High Class of 1947. Betty worked at Mersman Furniture Factory, Harts Variety Store and her son's business, May Painting. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Betty's passion was a squeaky-clean house and she loved shopping with her granddaughters.
W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Services are private, with Pastor Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
