Areas of fog, including some patchy dense fog will linger into the early afternoon hours before some improvement is expected. Numerous observation sites continue to show visibilities of one mile or less.
When encountering fog, be sure to turn on low beam headlights, slow down, and increase following distance.

Gene Speelman
Gene R. Speelman age 89 of Minster, Ohio died on September 5, 2022, at Heritage Manor in Minster, Ohio.
He was born on January 10, 1933, near New Weston, Ohio to the late George F. and Anna (Tieben) Speelman. He married Marjorie Berger on April 16, 1955, in Osgood, Ohio and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by children: Teresa (Tom) Rose, New Bremen; Tony (Theresa) Speelman, Anna: Thomas (Denise) Speelman, Mendon; Thecla (Pat) Barhorst, Minster; Theodore (Debi) Speelman, Troy; Terri Sue (Jeff) Phlipot, Fort Loramie; Tami (Doug) Larger, Fort Loramie; Todd (Diane) Speelman, Minster; Trudy Derryberry, Akron; Tonya (Kevin) Corbit, Minster. Also, many grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Henman, Sidney and in-laws Bill Berger, St. Henry, Treva Berger, Yorkshire; Bob (Shirley) Berger, North Star; Patricia Knapke, Versailles; Elizabeth Hassenauer, Greenville; Madonna (Terry) Winner, Greenville and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Thedford (dec 1965); sister Lavadia (Sis) Barga; twin brother, George Speelman; and in-laws Irene Speelman; Joe Berger; Paul Knapke; Janice Berger; John Barga and Jim Henman.
Gene enjoyed antique tractor shows, camping with friends. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster; former member of St. Louis Church in North Star; Versailles FOE 2347 as a Golden Eagle and American Legion Post 0217 in Sidney. He was retired from Danone in Minster. He also served as a US Army Corporal during Korean War.
Calling hours for family and friends will be 9 am -10 am in the Gathering Room at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, Ohio on Friday, September 16, 2022, Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am, with burial at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
Afterwards, a Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at the church basement.
