MINSTER - Four Minster men who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the military will soon be permanently recognized in the village.

In the Mercer Health 5Ks this summer, New Bremen's Zach Wiedeman was head and shoulders above the competition.
Heading into his junior year, Wiedeman earned 66 series points, 16 above Marion Local's Noah Budde in the boys 15-19 division, and won the first four races outright. [More]

ST. MARYS - School board members on Wednesday night unanimously voted in favor of a resolution allowing designated personnel to carry a handgun in the district.

The St. Marys boys golf team eked out a win over Ottawa-Glandorf on Wednesday, prevailing 167-169 over the Titans in a Western Buckeye League match at Northmoor.
New Bremen is in the midst of a challenging gauntlet as it looks to win the program's first Midwest Athletic Conference football title since 1988.
Last week, the Cardinals knocked off defending Division V state champ and unbeaten Versailles 14-7 at Cardinal Stadium.
