MINSTER - Councilors approved the appointment of Alan Winner as the new Minster-Jackson Township fire chief at Tuesday night's meeting.

Winner, who has been a firefighter with the department for 19 years, replaces Rick Prenger as chief. Prenger is retiring after 35 years with the department.
