Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Dickie May
Dickie D. May, age 77 of Celina, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his residence in Celina.
He was born on June 28, 1945 to the late James M. and Ardyth (Crouch) May in Celina. On April 22, 1967, he married Jean "Cookie" Richter who survives in Celina.
He is survived by his child Rachel May of Celina, sister Melanie (Jim) Langenkamp of Celina, sister-in-law Sue May of Celina, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammie May, brother Joe May, parents, and parents-in-law.
Dickie graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1964. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1965-1967. He was a member of the Coldwater American Legion Post #470 and the Ft. Recovery Gun Club. He owned and operated Dick May's Welding shop and retired from AVCO New Idea after 35 years. He was an avid fan of Eldora Speedway attending events for 60 years, he enjoyed sprint car racing, hunting, trapping, fishing, and playing pool and cards.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Pastor Roy Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home.
