* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A lull in rainfall will continue for much of the day. However, additional storms will move into the area later this afternoon. The risk of heavy rainfall will be greatest tonight into early Friday morning. There is also the potential for storms to repeatedly move over the same locations, which increases flash flood risk.

Sheryl Clay
Sheryl Diane Clay, age 76, passed away at her home near Mendon on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
She was born December 21, 1945, in Decatur, Indiana, to the late Gale & Wilma (Alt) Butcher. Sheryl and Jerry Clay were married on November 30, 1963.
Jerry survives, along with their children: Tim Clay of Haviland, Terri Jutte of Celina, and Traci (Kevin) Mendenhall of Scott. A son, Todd Allen Clay, passed away in 2007. She is also survived by her sister and 3 brothers: Deb (Mike) Schumm, Dallas (Marie) Butcher, Jack Butcher, and Jim (Donnetta) Butcher, 8 grandchildren: Chandler Clay, Katie Clay, Kaylie (Devin) Joseph, Rachel Jutte, Jared Jutte, Cody (Madison) Hagaman, Seth Mendenhall and Taylor Hagaman; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Tom Clay.
Also preceding her in death were sisters-in-law: Lois Butcher and Marcia Clay, and Jerry's parents: Darrell "Boogie" & Alberta Clay.
Sheryl graduated with the Parkway High School Class of 1963. She had worked at Walmart in the Pharmacy and Sewing Departments for 17 years. Sheryl was very talented in decorating. She repurposed antique furnishings and used them creatively in her home. For 30 years, she participated in a monthly card club with a group of Mendon area ladies. They enjoyed the food and fellowship as much as the card games. Sheryl loved the Christmas season and all the decorations. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, grandkids and great grandkids.
A Memorial Service is being held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, December 18, with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating.
Calling Hours will be on Sunday, from 12:00 Noon until the time of services.
In Sheryl's honor, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Community Health Professionals Hospice.
