* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Lester Stammen
Lester A. Stammen, age 91, of St. Henry, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at his home in St. Henry.
He was born June 2, 1931, in New Weston, Ohio to the late Frank and Hilda (Otte) Stammen. On June 24, 1961 he married Viola P. (Homan) Stammen and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2012.
Lester is survived by three children Alan & Sandy Stammen of St. Henry, Ann & Steve Hirzel and Teresa & Neil Badenhop both of Pemberville, seven grandchildren: Mitchel & Mikayla Stammen, Lauren Stammen & fiancé Matt Kahlig, Hannah Hirzel, Elizabeth & Brandon Avers, Grant Hirzel, Isaac Badenhop, and Andrew Badenhop, and siblings and in-laws: Verena & Donald Evers of New Bremen, Joan & Francis Pax of Coldwater, Kathleen Stammen of Rossburg, Maurice Harting and Dolores Cron both of Coldwater, and Dorothy & Daniel Eifert of Maria Stein.
In addition to his wife and parents, Lester is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Bertha Stammen, Mildred Stammen, David Stammen, Othmar & Rita Homan, Leonard & Alice Homan, Mary Ann Harting, Mauri Cron, and Roger & Irene Will.
Lester was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. He earned his Associates Degree from Sinclair College. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Lester was a farmer and former Electronic Technician for NCR Corporation.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023, at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 29, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, January 30, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or The St. Henry Catholic Church.
