Walter Bollenbacher
Walter C. Bollenbacher, 76, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on January 28, 2023 at his home in Celina.
He was born February 12, 1946 in Celina to the late Lester H. and Lola R. (Fleming) Bollenbacher.
He is survived by a sister, Marjorie (Donald) Heckman, Greenville, Ohio; and a nephew, Christopher Heckman, Greenville, Ohio.
Walter was a 1964 graduate of Celina High School where he sang in the school choir and played in the marching band for four years. He retired in 2007 after working 45 years for four different lumber companies, Celina Lumber, PK Packaging, Erb Lumber and Stock Building Supply all in Celina. He was a member of Celina First Church of God for more than 70 years, where he was active on the church council for many years and sang in the church choir for 40 years. Walter traveled all lower 48 states by car, visiting most national parks and attractions. He was avid cat lover all his life and was a people person.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with Pastor Craig Flack officiating; where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm prior to the services at the funeral home.
Graveside services will follow at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, church cemetery in Rockford, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Celina First Church of God in Celina.
