Andrea Bruns
Andrea K. Bruns, age 37, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, April 3, 2023 at her home in Coldwater.
She was born on April 26, 1985 in St. Marys.
Andrea is survived by her parents, Michael & Debbie Kittle of Celina; life partner, Treaver Schmit of Celina; her two loving children, Lilyann Romer & Evalyn Bruns of Coldwater; her stepchildren, Gavin Schmit & Autumn Schmit of Celina; sisters, Stacy (Paul) Langlois of Brunswick and Kristy (Ben) Kinnicutt of Celina; many loving aunts & uncles; her nieces that she adored; and her faithful dogs, Lady & Duke.
After graduating from Celina High School in 2003, Andrea received her Associates Degree in Applied Business and her Bachelor's Degree in Science from the Wright State Lake Campus. She was employed at Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina. Andrea had a true passion for volunteering, she spent countless hours volunteering for the Celina food drive, she mentored for the Big Brothers / Big Sisters program, created books for Tots Project (in partnership with the Angel Tree Program at OUR Home), volunteered in the Coldwater Schools cafeterias and helped coach special needs children in softball leagues. Water was a big interest of Andrea, she enjoyed spending time in her hot tub, swimming, being in and at the lake, fishing, and anything outdoor related. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, she enjoyed collecting antique glassware and being an artist. She also enjoyed the art of jujitsu. Most important to Andrea was her family; she would spend as much time as possible with her kids and enjoyed every moment with them. Family meant the world to her; she purely and completely loved being a mom. She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and the countless number of lives that she touched through her hours of volunteering; she was completely selfless and would provide a helping hand to anyone in need. Although Andrea grew up being hard of hearing, she never let that disability slow her down.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
A private memorial service will be held following the gathering at the funeral home with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. Private burial will be held at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be given to Andrea's children.
