Norma J. Homan, age 78 of Cassella, Ohio, died at 9:34 AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

Norma was born January 19, 1945 in Osgood, Ohio to the late Adrian & Bernadine (Henke) Gariety. On April 30, 1969 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, she married Ivo F. Homan who survives in Cassella.

She is also survived by her 3 children: James (Jim) & Shannon Homan, Fort Loramie, Julia (Julie) & Russell (Dale) Leichliter, New Bremen, Angela (Angie) & Earl George Anna, 8 grandchildren: MaKenna & Camron Homan of Fort Loramie, Tyler, Kyle & Ryan Leichliter of New Bremen, Abigail, Riley & Cali George of Anna, 5 siblings: Roger & Bert Gariety, Versailles, Shirley & John Borchers, Tipp City, William (Bill) & Teresa Gariety, Wapakoneta, Mary & Michael (Mike) Holthaus, Wapakoneta, Adrian (Pete) & Jane Gariety Jackson Center, 4 in-laws: Wilbert (Bill) & Viola (deceased) Homan, Maria Stein, Viola (deceased) & Denny Mescher, Maria Stein, Lowell & Marion Homan New Bremen, Alice & the late Omer Wynk, Celina.

She was a 1963 graduate of Versailles High School. She worked on the family farm and then worked briefly at babysitting, Weaver Egg Plant, Box Factory, Minster, Crown in New Bremen. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Cassella, Ohio. Dancing at the Crystal Ball was her favorite pastime in her younger days while she enjoyed playing cards with her best friend Jackie Meyers in the latter years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Cassella with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 1 to 5 PM and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday.
