Robert Archer
Robert "Bob" Archer passed away at the age of 91 on May 21, 2023, at 11:52 am at The Miller Place in Celina.
Bob was born in Van Wert on January 20, 1932, to the late Wilbur Vaughn Archer and Helen (Temple) Archer. On February 23, 1952, Bob married Anna Lou (Tangeman) Archer and she preceded him in death.   He is survived by his loving children, Sharon Archer of Mendon, John (Mary Lou) Archer of Brunswick, Diane (Cheryl) Archer of Celina, Linda (Doug) Krieger of Carbon Alberta, Canada, and Jerry (Shelly) Archer of Celina; he also had two children who preceded him in death, Tom Archer and Mary Helen Archer, who died in infancy.
He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Miller.
Bob retired from Cheryl Ann Schools where he was a maintenance worker and a bus driver for many years. Bob loved his job at Cheryl Ann Schools and adored all of the kids there. He also worked in maintenance at the Celina Manor, was a truck driver, and worked on oil and gas wells for Archer Well Service, which was family-owned.
He was a very simple man who lived a simple life. Most important to Bob was his family; he showed the true essence of love, always putting his family first and cherishing every moment spent together. His solid love and selflessness created a warm and nurturing environment that became the cornerstone of his family's lives.
Being a grandfather held a special place in Bob's heart, as he embraced the joy and wonder of each grandchild's presence. He created lasting memories that will be treasured by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who were all fortunate enough to experience his love and tenderness.
