Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Stanley Hemmelgarn
Stanley A. Hemmelgarn age 73, of Ansonia passed away peacefully at his home with his wife by his side with a wink at 4:05 PM Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Stan was born May 25, 1950, in Wendelin to the late Urban & Clara (Dues) Hemmelgarn.
Stan was also preceded in death by a son, Bryce Hemmelgarn; grandson, Scott Collier; sister-in-law, Cathy Hemmelgarn; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leonard & Gertrude Bubeck; and brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Leslie & Sharon Bubeck.  
Stan is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon (Bubeck) Hemmelgarn whom he married September 13, 1997; children, Jason & Angela Hemmelgarn of New Paris, Lance & Karrie Hemmelgarn of Greenville and Julie Schieltz of West Chester; grandchildren, Clorissa Hemmelgarn, Cameron Hemmelgarn, Amber Collier, Kiersten Collier, Donovon Hemmelgarn, Derrick Hemmelgarn, Destiney & Haydon Schlechty, Tyler Bradley and Brandon Bradley; great grandchildren, Kayden Hemmelgarn, Ellie Curtner, Jolie Curtner, Lillien Curtner, Gavin Curtner, and Charlie Schlechty; grand kitty, Abigail Skipper Schieltz Hemmelgarn; siblings, Carolyn & Henry Reier of Celina, Roger Hemmelgarn of Ft. Recovery, Les & Betty Hemmelgarn of St. Henry, Nancy & Dan Hart of Celina, Ginny & Roger Thornton of Wapakoneta and Pam & Doug Westgerdes of Ft. Recovery; sister-in-law, Lois Bubeck of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stan retired from Francis Manufacturing in Russia with nearly 25 years of service. He was a past member of the Versailles Eagles. Stan loved flirting with his wife. He enjoyed visiting Ft. Walton Beach in Florida, mowing his lawn, and watching the wildlife that visited his property. Stan enjoyed fishing with his buddy Ron, visiting with Chris and the breakfast & lunch bunch at the Whistle Stop. Stan had the natural ability to fix about anything. A big thank you to Randy Ward for being a good friend and neighbor. A special thank you to Troy Kettering Hospital Staff on the 3rd floor for the wonderful care and birthday celebration for Stan, EverHeart Hospice Inpatient staff, our home Hospice nurses and aides, and Jeff at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home.
A celebration of Stan's life will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the Whistle Stop 200 South Main St. Ansonia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Whistle Stop.
