At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Doug Smith
Doug "Smitty" Smith, 49, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on July 11, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 21, 1974 in Celina. On August 2, 1997 he married the love of his life, Jennifer (Leist) Smith, they were together for 25 wonderful years and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include his children, Payton Nicole Smith and Carly Sue Smith, both of Celina; his parents, John W. and Carolyn Sue (Adams) Smith, Celina; three brothers, Andy (Holly) Smith, Celina; Clint Smith, Celina and Dan (Lisa) Smith, Celina; in-laws, James (Sandra) Leist, St. Marys; three brothers-in-law, Doug (Michelle) Leist, Cincinnati, Dave (Shana) Leist, Tennessee and Rev. Jason (Sarah) Leist, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
Doug was a 1992 graduate of Celina High School; he then received his Bachelor's degree in education from Bowling Green State University and later went on to earn his Master's degree also in Education. After graduating from college Doug went on to teach 8th grade science at his alma mater in Celina for the next 25 years, where he also coached boys' basketball for the bulldogs at every level and even found time to coach boys' soccer early in his career. Smitty enjoyed coaching, farming on his family farm, vacationing with family and friends, playing euchre, and most of all spending time with his two loving daughters. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township, Rockford, Celina Moose Lodge and Celina American Legion, Post #210. Doug's last act of kindness on earth was giving the gift of life to others through organ donation, because of his donation several people will be able to live.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Celina Field House, 10 Fountain Ave in Celina with Rev. Adam Poe officiating. Graveside services will follow at Buck Cemetery in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be given to Doug's family for his daughter's college funds.
