Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Melvin Norton
Melvin D. Norton, 75 of Celina, passed away on July 6, 2023 at West Chester Hospital in Butler County, Ohio.
He was born June 18, 1948 in Fonde, Kentucky to the late James Earl and Altha (McKinney) Norton. On October 15, 1966 he married Mary Sue Norton and she preceded him in death on March 17, 2022.
Other survivors include his children, Dale (Amy) Norton, New Knoxville, Ohio, Suann (Matt) Kleinhans, Sidney and MaryJo (Jose) Hernandez, California; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Brooks, Celina; and a brother, Brad Norton.
Melvin is also preceded in death by his siblings, Jim Norton, Alvin Norton, Larry Don Norton, Carol Stienecker and Gayle Boley.
Melvin graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School in 1966. He proudly served our country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam era. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after many years of service. Melvin was a private person that kept to himself and enjoyed spending time with his family and joking with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina; where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm before the service. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina; where military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post # 210 and Celina VFW Post # 5713.
