At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Dwight Schroer
Dwight Allen Schroer, age 66, passed from this earth, at his home in New Bremen, the week of July 19th, 2023.
Dwight was the son of Curtis A. and Betty L. (Horn) Schroer, who preceded him in death.
Surviving is his sister Kathleen (Eugene) Aufderhaar of Bluffton, Ohio.
Born October 10, 1956, he graduated from New Bremen High School in 1975, before attaining a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Schroer was employed by Northern Petrochemical of Joliet, Illinois. Later he worked locally for Koneta Rubber in Wapakoneta and Norcold in Sidney, Ohio. Dwight also spent several years as an independent, skilled carpenter. Dwight enjoyed working with his hands; he was a talented woodworker. His pastimes also included an interest in guns; he was a member of the New Bremen Rod and Gun Club. He was an active member of St. Peter's Church in New Bremen, where he served as trustee. He also enjoyed photographing wildlife and doting on his two cats.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen with Pastor Ed Rinehart officiating.
Friends are welcome to visit one half hour before the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Peter's Church (303 N. Franklin Street, New Bremen, Ohio 45869).
