Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Gerald Davis
Gerald (Jerry) E. Davis, age 81, passed away on July 27 at Briarwood Village Assisted Living Facility in Coldwater, Ohio, from natural causes.
Jerry was born on February 14, 1942, to Walkie and Viola Davis (Hartings) in Mercer County, Ohio. Survived by his daughters Tammy Gardner and Susie (Melvin) Moeller, Celina, Ohio; son-in-law Sam Hemmelgarn, Dayton, Ohio; brother Ed (Phyllis) Davis, Celina, Ohio. Jerry had 8 grandchildren Samantha Abromovich, Mary Jackson, Kinzie Henkle, Kalie Gardner, Dustin Woods, Shelby Woods, Nathan Moeller and Matthew Moeller and 12 great-grandchildren with #13 on the way.
Preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Shelly Hemmelgarn.
Jerry served in U.S. Navy in 1963. He worked at New Idea, Sap's Donuts, Owen Hall Realty and Galbreath Realty, Clopay and owner and operator of Whole Sale Pizza and Jerry's Distributing. Among Jerry's hobbies were watching NASCAR, was a member of the AM VETS and he loved to play cards and was an avid fisherman.
Jerry donated his body to science and a Celebration of Life will be held on August 19 at Windy Point Park at 2-5 p.m.
Memorial donations can be given to Lake Improvement Association or Legacy Hospice.
