Jeff Kerr
Jeff G. Kerr, age 59 of Celina, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born on October 15, 1963 in Anderson, Indiana. He was born to the late James Kerr and Frances (Stelter) Bunch of Kansas City, MO. On November 28, 1987, he married Jodi Hoenie who survives in Celina.
He is also survived by his children Jeremy (Leeann) Kerr of Celina, Kaitlynn (Tyler) McMurray of Celina, four grandchildren, Ava Kerr, Aubrey Kerr, Charlee McMurray, Hadlee McMurray, brother Jason (Penny) Bunch of Kansas City, MO, sisters Julie (Alan) Davis of Springfield, MO, Jamie (Ed) Rhodus of Anderson, IN, step mother Linda Kerr of Alexandria, IN, step father David Bunch of Kansas City, MO, several nieces and nephews and one great niece.
Jeff graduated from Mt. Vernon High School with the class of 1981. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Greenville College in Illinois in 1987. He was a Physical Education and Health teacher for 25 years, he taught at Mendon, Parkway, and Coldwater. During his years of teaching, he also coached baseball, softball, golf, football, and basketball. He was employed at Knous Lawn Care in Celina. He was a member of the New Life Christian Center Church and played the guitar on the worship team. He enjoyed playing golf, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 4, 2023 at the New Life Christian Center, with Rev. Jason King officiating.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home and an hour before services on Friday at the church.
