Lester Albers
Lester J. Albers, age 82 of Osgood, Ohio, died at 5:25 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Everheart Hospice Inpatient Unit, Greenville, Ohio.
He was born on September 26, 1940 in Minster, Ohio to the late Clarence & Anna M. (Kremer) Albers. He married Jean Schmidt on October 15, 1966 in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood and she survives in Osgood. He is also survived by children: Brad & Dina Albers, Yorkshire, Lori Jean Albers, Maria Stein, Jeff & Mandy Albers, Osgood, grandchildren: Jacob, Lindsey, Connor, Kaycie, Hailee & Reece, brother Norman Albers, Fort Loramie, sister Carol & Jerry Rentz, Chickasaw, in-laws: Mary Albers, Minster, Carol & Al Unrast, Osgood, Jerry Schmidt, Lima. He was preceded in death by brother Carl Albers, and sister-in-law Jane Albers.
Lester was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Men's Sodality. He retired from Minster Machine after over 40 years of service. Lester enjoyed fishing, playing cards and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood with burial to follow in St. Martin Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 3 to 7 PM and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Everheart Hospice and The Cancer Association of Darke County. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
