Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning. Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces. Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.
A 26-year-old St. Henry man was killed after a train struck the truck he was driving on Saturday morning in Randolph County, Indiana.
After being extracted from a 2004 Ford F-150, Tristan Fullenkamp was transported to Reid Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to a Randolph County Sheriff's Office news release. [More]

Area cross country teams traveled to one of two big meets on Saturday as the annual Tiffin Cross Country Carnival was held at the regional meet site of Hedges Boyer Park while other teams made the shorter trek to Spencerville for the annual Bearcat Invitational.
