* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Betty Bertke
Betty Bertke, age 80 of Coldwater passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at Briarwood Village.
She was born August 7, 1943 in North Star, Ohio to the late Joseph & Dolores (Schwieterman) Dwenger. On June 2, 1964, she married Larry Bertke and he preceded her in 2013.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Bertke of Coldwater, Doug & Denise Bertke and granddaughter Julia Bertke of Coldwater, and Daniel & Karen Bertke of Fairborn; siblings and in-laws, Marlene & Dave Boise of Wapakoneta, Bernice & Michael Fleck of Napoleon, James & Marilyn Dwenger of Florida, Joe & Nancy Dwenger of Rockford, Rick Dwenger of Celina, Tom & Julie Dwenger of Tennessee, Ruth & Don Lupton of Tipp City, and Janice Bertke of Celina.
She was preceded in death by infant son, David Bertke, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leroy & Mary Alice Bertke, and siblings and in-laws, Henry & Marcella Mallory, Richard Bertke, and Bonnie & Bob Francis.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Betty was a 1961 graduate of Celina Immaculate Conception and later became a registered nurse after studying at Good Samaritan Nursing School of Dayton. She spent many years as a registered nurse at the Gibbons Hospital in Celina and also at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. Betty was also a religion teacher with Holy Trinity. She found joy making ceramics and collecting Precious Moments pieces. Betty shared many fond memories every year making candy to celebrate the first snowfall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday November 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 3pm to 8pm on Tuesday, November 21 and from 9am to 10am on Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorial contributions may be made to the EverHeart Hospice.
