Lillian M. Zimmerman, age 96 of Minster, Ohio, died at 5:14 PM on Friday November 24, 2023 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio.
She was born on April 29, 1927 in St. Patrick, Ohio to the late Clemens & Francis (Baumer) Hoying. She married Richard Zimmerman on November 10, 1948 in St. Patrick Church. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2006.
She is survived children: Connie & Dr. Bruce Ourieff, Nipomo, CA, Edwin & Melanie Zimmerman, Mainesville, OH, grandchildren: Paige Zimmerman, Rachel Ourieff, Arielle Ourieff, Dr. Jared & Allie Ourieff, Michelle & Dann Marketoes, Laura & Conner Ford, great grandchildren: Jack, Ava, Lucy Marketoes, Kenna, Wyatt, Tripp Fiord, Andrew, Lily Zimmerman, in-laws: Matt Zimmerman & Annette Haraburda.
She was preceded in death by son Dr. Donald & Kendra Zimmerman, grandchildren: Courtney Zimmerman, Todd Zimmerman, brothers: Vernon & Betty Hoying, Herb & Dorothy Hoying, Fred & Irma Hoying, in-laws: Marita & Clarence Poeppelman, Burk & Shirley Zimmerman, Angela Zimmerman, Carl Zimmerman, Treva & Vernon Barhorst, Sister Constance Zimmerman, John & Edna Zimmerman, Doris Jean Zimmerman, David Haraburda.
Lillian was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She was a 10-year Charter member of the Minster Area Life Squad, former co-manager of Friday Night Bingo, co Girl Scout Leader, a Red Cross Volunteer, Bingo Helper at Heritage Center. Lillian enjoyed playing cards, quilting, crocheting, puzzles, traveling and loved spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM and on Friday, December 1 from 9:00 to 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Minster Area Life Squad.
