* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...Through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A lull in rainfall will continue for much of the day. However, additional storms will move into the area later this afternoon. The risk of heavy rainfall will be greatest tonight into early Friday morning. There is also the potential for storms to repeatedly move over the same locations, which increases flash flood risk.

Russell Poor
Russell F. Poor, 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Born on June 21, 1931, in Hazard, Kentucky.
Russell was a son of the late Lowell and Maude (Sumner) Poor. They moved to Celina, Ohio when he was the age of 10.


Russell graduated from Neptune High School, class of 1951 where he was active in basketball and baseball. Following graduation, he married Marjorie Ellis. He was in the National Guard Army for 2 years prior to joining the Air Force and being stationed in Fuchu, Japan for 18 months as a teletype operator. Following his service, he earned his master's degree in education from Indiana University. He taught school in Fort Wayne, for 32 years, prior to his retirement in 1989. He was very active in basketball, playing in the Senior Olympics in Florida and Detroit, winning medals in 1999. He continued to play until he was 83 years old. He worked for Sears Roebuck for 10 years in the farming department. Russell and his wife were active members of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as care givers and grounds keepers for over 50 years. Russell held the office of president, trustee, elder, and taught Sunday School and was in the churches men's group.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Marjorie Poor; son, Brian Poor; granddaughters, Serenity, Alyssa, Reheanna; daughter-in-law, Linda; along with several nieces and nephews.
Russell was preceded in death by his son, Ed Poor; daughter-in-law, siblings, Bill and Frank Poor, and Helen Springer
Service is noon, Friday, January 5, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 7819 Decatur Rd, with calling from 10 am until the service. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
