Bulldogs finish 11th in first state trip

The season ended for the Celina girls bowling team on Saturday at the Division I state tournament at HP Lanes in Columbus.
The Bulldogs, making their first state appearance as a team, were unable to finish in the top eight to qualify for the championship round. Celina bowled a 2,504 in the three regulation games, then bowled a 452 in the baker games for a score of 2,956, putting them 11th in the field.
Celina's Piper Gilliland led the team with a 529 series to finish 30th in the individual standings. Ryann Eckhardt added a 523 series for 33rd. Chloe Bruce had a 505 (47th), Chablis Krick bowled a 485 (54th) and Brynly Huber finished with a 464 (61st).

Boardman swept the titles, winning the team championship by beating Troy in four games as Kaitlyn Greenaway earned individual medalist honors with a 653 series.
