* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:40 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 13.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Joan Hoying
Joan M. Hoying, age 94 of New Bremen, Ohio, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born on June 15, 1929, in Troy, Ohio to the late Edward & Theresa (Sextro) Wilkens. She married Alvin J. Hoying on July 12, 1952, at St. Augustine Church, Minster. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2017.
Joan is survived by her children: Teresa "Terri" Hoying, Columbus; Tony & Amy Amato, St. Charles, Mo.; and Ted & Molly Hoying, Columbus; grandchildren Joanne, Eddie, Brittany & Tony Holm, Bradley, Gina & Kellen Holland, Alayna, Ted Jr, Haley & Kate; two great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren; in-laws: Veronica Presas, Fort Loramie, Margie Thieman, Kettering, Susan & Les Prenger, Minster, Rolland Griner, Fort Loramie & Bonnie Hoying of West Carrollton.
Preceding in her death, brother Ted Wilkens, her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Clarence "C.J." & Betty Hoying, Fr. Leo Hoying C.PP.S., Edward & Patricia (Griner) Hoying and Cyril "Cy", sisters Rosemary & Roman Soalman and Catherine & James Abele, Paul Perin, Art Presas.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen and worked at Auglaize Industries for 10 years. She cherished her students and kept in touch during her retirement years. Joan was active in the community and volunteered her time at various blood drives and social activities. Joan loved taking long drives through the countryside, ballroom dancing and playing cards with friends. Her love of animals and gardening was a big part of her life. Joan's sense of humor, love of family and friends will never be forgotten.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen, with burial to follow in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Friends may call at Holy Redeemer Church from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday April 12, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, donations should go to The Shrine of the Holy Relics, Maria Stein.
