OHSAA announces fall sports divisions

Expanded divisions will make for big changes in several fall sports, as the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced its divisional breakdowns for all its fall sports besides football in the 2024-25 school year.

The biggest changes will come in volleyball, which is set to expand from four to seven divisions. The majority of the Midwest Athletic Conference schools will now compete in Division VI, which will feature Coldwater, Delphos St. John's, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Minster, New Bremen, Parkway and St. Henry. New Knoxville will compete in the smallest division, Division VII, while Versailles will represent the MAC in Division V.

Celina and St. Marys' boys soccer teams will drop one division from Division II to Division III as part of the five-division makeup this season. New Knoxville will be in Division V.

In girls soccer, Celina will compete in Division III with St. Marys dropping to Division IV. Coldwater will go to Division V.

No changes were recorded for the remaining sports announced on Tuesday.

In boys golf, Celina will compete in Division I and Coldwater and St. Marys are in Division II with the remaining area teams staying in Division III. Celina' girls golf will stay in Division I with the remaining area teams continuing to compete in Division II.

Celina and St. Marys will continue to play in Division II for girls tennis.
