Snow showers will continue this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust from 20 to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of one-half inch to 2 inches. Visibility will be restricted at times in the heavier showers.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Lucille Laux
Lucille Marie (Timmerman) Laux, 85, of Fort Recovery, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville, Ohio.
She was born on July 5, 1938, in Sharpsburg, to the late Anthony and Frances (Rammel) Timmerman.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jerome W. Laux, whom she married on April 11, 1981; her sisters-in-law, Irene Timmerman and Margret Shawver; her brother-in-law, Urban Dirksen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her siblings, Wilfred (1st wife: Rita; 2nd wife: Jean) Timmerman, Erma (Art) Eischen, Gerald Timmerman, Ruth (Lavern) Gruss, Richard (LouDonna) Timmerman, Joan (Gregor) Hartings, Louis (Alma) Timmerman, Esther (Ben) Hartings, Edna (Paul) Klingshirn, and Bernice Dirksen; an infant sister, Margaret Lucille Timmerman; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Shawver and John Laux.
Lucille worked at the Hartwigs Turkey plant and spent many years collecting eggs for various farmers around the area. She enjoyed doing cross stitch in her early years, as well as doing word searches, traveling around the area with Jerome, and going on bus trips. Lucille enjoyed collecting angels, magnets, and Denim Days statues. Lucille loved baking and was known for her famous coffee cake. She and Jerome spent numerous years selling candy for the St. Anthony Ladies Sodality. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Father Mike Kapolka celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Lucille's family on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., and again on Saturday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Neurological Development or to the family to help offset final expenses.
