Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

World War II veterans Tom Kremer, left, and Elmer Klenke, were honored on Monday morning during Memorial Day services at Coldwater Memorial Park. Klenke said he drove a tank through Manila when stationed in the Philippines from 1943-1944, while Kremer said he served as a Japanese interpreter for U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
