At 1222 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bluffton to near Belle Center to near Troy, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include... Troy, Sidney, Piqua, Bellefontaine, Tipp City, Kenton, Ada, West Milton, St. Paris, Jackson Center, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Waynesfield, Belle Center, Chippewa Park, Union, and Northwood.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 66 and 96.

James DeArmond
James Dale DeArmond, age 76, of Celina, Ohio passed away on May 23, 2024 at his residence in Celina.
James aka "Jim" was born May 23, 1948 in Van Wert, Ohio. He was adopted and raised by Donald and Naomi DeArmond on the family farm west of Rockford.
Jim graduated from Parkway High School with the Class of 1966. He was a truck driver for Schroyer Inc., New Idea, and Hunt transportation for many years before retiring. When he wasn't driving, you could find him enjoying a cold one and surrounded by great friends. Jim was a member of the Celina Moose, Coldwater FOE, and the Celina VFW for many years.
He was preceded by his parents, Don and Naomi DeArmond, along with his biological mother Loretta Crowell and brother Gerald Crowell.
He is survived by two sons: Donald (Tina) DeArmond of Celina, and James (Michelle) DeArmond of Fort Wayne, along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by five siblings: Judith, Jenni, Kevin, Janice, and Pamela; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Joan DeArmond, and former daughter-in-law, Valerie DeArmond.
A celebration of life service, honoring Jim's life, will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Come with your favorite memories of Jim to share with family and friends.
