Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Michael Holscher
Michael "Rayme" Ray Holscher, age 61, of St. Rt. 47, (Newport) Fort Loramie, Ohio, was found to have passed away peacefully of natural causes at his residence on Friday evening, July 12, 2024.
He was born April 6, 1963, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Raymond & Pauline "Tootie" (Marchal) Holscher.
Surviving are six siblings: Mark & Deb Holscher of Fort Loramie, Matt Holscher of Russia, Martha Holscher of Fort Loramie, Morris Holscher of Minster, Marvin & Teresa Holscher of Fort Loramie and Marla & Stanley (dec.) Grieshop of Covington; several nieces and nephews: Ryan & Chrissy, Alex & Alantra, Morgan, Jason & Amber, Justin & Chasity, and Jordan Holscher, Amber & Chris Davis, Zachary (Godson), Andy (Godson) and Mitch Holscher, Luke and Kyle Grieshop as well as two aunts, Dora Marchal of Naples, FL, and Rita Holscher of Minster.
He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother-in-law and several uncles and aunts.
Mr. Holscher was a 1981 graduate of both Fort Loramie High School and the Upper Valley Joint Vocational School in Piqua where he studied Ag Diesel Mechanics. Believing that if one man could build something, he should be able to fix it, he had been an accomplished diesel mechanic all of his working life. Over the years, he had been employed at various farm implement dealers and truck service stations. He was also a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In his leisure Rayme enjoyed fixing tractors, helping with farming and especially, riding his Harley that he affectionately named "Roxanne".
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Friday, July 19, 2024, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Newport with Rev. Stephen Mondiek presiding. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.       Family and friends may call Thursday, 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or charities of choice.
