Russell Harting
Russell L. Harting age 78 of Minster, Ohio, died on Monday, July 29, 2024 at his home in Minster. He was born on November 13, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Carl & Jean (Alexander) Harting. He married Nancy Stelzer on June 19, 1970 in Immaculate Conception Church, Celina, Ohio. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by his son & daughter-in-law Todd & Carolyn Harting, St. Marys, grandsons: Brian & Cierra Harting, Michael & Jessica Harting all of St. Marys, 9 great grandchildren, brother: Jim & Anita Harting, Minster.
He was preceded in death by daughter Amy Harting, 3 great grandchildren and brother Bob Harting.
Russ was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster, Minster F.O.E. #1391. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp from 1963 to 1967. He was a surveyor for the State of Ohio and then Police Officer in St. Henry and in Minster. He was also a member of the Ft. Loramie American Legion and the St. Marys VFW.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Burial with full military honors to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 9 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
