Elaine M. Puthoff age 77, of Chickasaw died Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Otterbein in St. Marys.

She was born May 12, 1947, in Celina, Ohio to the late John G. & Bertha (Gels) Moeller. On May 25,1968 Elaine married Virgil Puthoff and he died in 2010.

Surviving family members include Elaine's siblings and in-laws: Jack (Margie) Moeller of St. Louis, MO, Marvin Moeller of Coldwater, Lavern (Kathy) Moeller of Coldwater, Luke Moeller of St. Sebastian, Roger (Pat) Puthoff of Bradford, James (Mary Lou) Nerderman of Versailles, Donna (Dennis) Hinshaw of Winchester, IN and Teresa Seitz of St. Henry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Eliane is preceded in death by in-laws, Janice Moeller, Gerald Puthoff, Richard Puthoff, Fred Puthoff, Carol Puthoff, Donald Nerderman and Steve Seitz.

She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, the lady's sodality of the church, the shrine adoration guild for over 30 years and Marion township combined charities for 25 years. She graduated from Marion Local in 1965 as the class salutatorian. She worked at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina from 1965 to 1981 and then she worked with her husband Virgil in construction.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Precious Blood Church. Following the funeral mass, the burial will take place in Precious Blood Cemetery.

Family and Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM on Friday, August 23, or 9 to 9:45 AM on Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake Hospice.
