* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 19 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Ronald Hemmelgarn

Ronald L. Hemmelgarn, born in Celina, Ohio, on August 6, 1941, passed away on October 28, 2024.

He was the beloved son of Richard (d. 1999) and Marcella Hemmelgarn (age 105, of Coldwater, Ohio) and is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Tierney, his children Amanda Hemmelgarn of West Hartford, Connecticut; Mike Hemmelgarn (Jillian) of Monson, Massachusetts; Marie Mueller (Zack) of Portland, Maine; and Carrie Hemmelgarn of Portland, Maine, and his grandchildren Addison Hemmelgarn, Nora Mueller, and Calvin Mueller.

He also leaves behind siblings Virginia Klenke, Alice Hemmelgarn, Marjorie Brookhart (Douglas), Edward Hemmelgarn (Jan Hammond), Gerald Hemmelgarn (Cindy), and Joseph Hemmelgarn, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Joanne Ford and son Derek Hemmelgarn.
