Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

Gary McKibben

Gary McKibben, age 77, a resident of Geneva, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at his home in Geneva.

Gary was born March 16, 1947, in Portland, Indiana, the son of Robert and Evelyn (French) McKibben. He owned several different auto dealerships in the area and owned and operated The Shop in Geneva. Gary enjoyed drag racing and was a member of NHRA and IHRA.

Survivors include his children: Jennifer McKibben - North Carolina, Cory McKibben (wife Gina) - Coldwater, Ohio, Shane McKibben (wife Julie) - Loveland, Ohio, Austin McKibben - Linn Grove, Indiana, and Lexie McKibben (fiancé Jacob Myers) - Linn Grove, Indiana; 1 brother: Duane McKibben - Portland, Indiana; grandchildren: Dillon, Kyle, Katie, Zack, Nancy Taylor and Boston; and several great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by 2 children, Chris and Jolanda McKibben.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services to celebrate Gary's life will follow at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
