Rita C. Blossom, 59, of Rockford, Ohio passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at Ohio Health -Van Wert Hospital. She was born January 22, 1966 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Ines Marie (Wilhoit) Parker.

Rita worked at Findlay Industries in Ohio City for several years. She then worked at several Rockford restaurants, most memorably at Frankie Joes. Rita's favorite thing in the world to do was to hang out with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Vincent "Boone" (Lisa) Blossom of Willshire and Eddy "Jake" Blossom of Rockford; three sisters, Tamie (Larry) Cozad of Van Wert, Tracy (Steve) Brookhart of Rockford, Belinda (Dave) Potts of Van Wert; one brother, Jody (Cristy) Parker of Fort Recovery; seven grandchildren, Zane Blossom, Brody Blossom, Willow Blossom, Godric Blossom, Kadi, Noah, and Izaya; four great grandchildren, Emmersyn, Kambreigh, Kaysen, Valereigh; and eighteen nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her long time partner, Yogi Billington; and two brothers, Randy Parker and Steve Parker.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 21, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, 111 West First Street, Rockford, Ohio 45882.

Burial will be private.
