* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 911 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in Wapakoneta, southwest of Kenton, and throughout Logan County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Sue Meier
Sue Meier, 85, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on February 28, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio.
Born on November 30, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Fay (Stevens) Richardson. On July 2, 1960, she married Verlin Meier, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2011.
Sue is survived by her children, Amy (John) Schnorberger of Toledo, and Craig (Beth) Meier of Findlay; four cherished grandchildren, Katy and Drew Schnorberger of Toledo, and Emily and Erin Meier of Findlay; and her sister, Bonnie Walters of Westerville.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sheryl Lynn Meier; her sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn (Donn) Kesler; and her brother-in-law, Chuck Walters.
Sue graduated from Columbus North High School in 1957 and went on to work as a secretary at The Ohio State University College of Agriculture. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Verlin, while typing his papers to help him complete his degree. Sue retired in 2005 from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina, where she had spent many years working in customer service.
A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, Sue enjoyed a life of service and community. In her earlier years, she was actively involved in 4-H and Girl Scouts and had a passion for crafting. She often worked as a substitute secretary for local churches and was known for her willingness to help when needed. Above all, Sue treasured her role as a grandmother. She loved attending her grandchildren's activities and played an active role in their lives, offering them endless love and support.
Sue will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Funeral services and a celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Graveside services will follow on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Greenville Union Cemetery in Greenville, Ohio.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran Church and/or the Alzheimer's Association.
