OPSMA All-Southwest District Girls

Fort players honored

Fort Recovery's Karlie Niekamp and Kennedy Muhlenkamp received accolades as the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association announced its All-Southwest District girls basketball teams on Tuesday.
Niekamp earned second team honors in Division VI after averaging 12.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Muhlenkamp was named to the honorable mention.
Anna coach Rusty Allen and Arcanum coach Abbey Moore, who both lost to Minster in the regional, were named co-Coaches of the Year in Division VI. Arcanum's Alexis Gibbons and Miami Valley Christian Academy's Lucy Rosen shared Player of the Year honors.
Fort Loramie's Avery Brandewie shared Division VII Player of the Year honors with Mississinawa Valley's Taylee Woodbury. Loramie coach Carla Siegel was named co-Coach of the Year in Division VII with Legacy Christian's Mark Combs.
