* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana, including the following counties, Fayette, Union and Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hardin, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Shelby and Union.
* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Repeated rounds of storms, combined with the extremely wet soil conditions will increase the risk for flash flooding into the overnight hours.

At 849 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Wapakoneta, southwest of Kenton, and throughout Logan County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Wapakoneta, Kenton, Fort Shawnee, Cridersville, Russells Point, Lakeview, Alger, Waynesfield, Belle Center, West Mansfield, Chippewa Park, Northwood, Roundhead, Mount Victory, Rushsylvania, Mcguffey, Huntsville, Ridgeway, Buckland and Uniopolis.

Verena Evers
Verena L. Evers, age 92, of New Bremen and formerly of St. Henry died peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen.
Verena was born January 3, 1933, in Lightsville, to the late Frank A. & Hilda B. (Otte) Stammen. On May 18, 1957, she married Donald Evers. Together Don and Verena were married for over 66 years until his passing on November 11, 2023.
Verena is survived by six children, Jeff Evers of Maplewood, Chris & Kathy Evers of New Bremen, Janel & Mark Piekenbrock of Westerville, Dan & Dawn Evers of Tipp City, Dale Evers and fiancé Josie Smith of Tipp City, and Cheryl & Scott Flood of New Bremen. Other surviving family members include her 16 grandchildren: Ryan, Brad, and Kyle Evers, Jessica Marquis, Katie Marcum, Brian, and Michael Piekenbrock, Maria Evers, Ashlyn Eldridge, Joshua Evers, Theresa, Sophia, Mara, Adam, Kateri, and Liam Flood, as well as ten great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Kathy Stammen, and a sister-in-law Jeanette Siefring.
In addition to her parents and husband, Verena is preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Evers, an infant grandson, Christopher Evers, as well as siblings and in-laws: Lester & Viola Stammen, Joan & Francis Pax, Bertha Stammen, Mildred Stammen, and David & Barb Stammen, Gerald Evers, and Lavern Siefring and her father and mother-in-law, Sebastian & Alvina Evers.
Verena was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry. She loved her children and grandchildren wholeheartedly and took much delight in her beautiful great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, March 11, 2023, at St. Henry Church. Burial in St. Henry Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.
Friends may call from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Monday, March 10, and from 9:00am -10:00am on Tuesday, March 11, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice or Mercer County Right to Life.
